So much more than a Gin & Tonic
When it comes to Gin, most people think immediately of Gin and Tonic, the classic, refreshing and simple-to-make beverage that can be enjoyed year-round, whatever the weather. However, gin can be used for so much more!
For example, a gin and soda is a great low-calorie alternative to a G&T, and perfect for summer days. Or how about a sloe gin fizz? Made with sloe gin, lemon juice, sugar and sparkling water, it’s a sparkling and refreshing gin cocktail that you can easily make at home.
Here’s how you make it:
Ingredients – 50ml gin (per serving), 25ml lemon juice, 2 teaspoons of sugar syrup and sparkling water. And don’t forget ice and a slice of lemon!
Add the gin, sugar syrup and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker and fill with ice cubes, before giving it a vigorous shake! Then, pour into a tall glass and top up with sparkling water, adding a lemon slice if you’d like.
It’s quick, simple and delicious – perfect for a Summer’s evening or a get-together with friends.
