Gin Liqueur

What’s the difference between gin and gin liqueur?

Gin liqueur is a type of sweetened gin. As the name suggests, it is made by adding sugar and other flavourings to gin. This results in a sweeter, more syrupy drink than a traditional gin, which generally has a lower ABV than regular gin (particularly when it comes to our Navy Strength gin, which is 57% ABV!)

Gin liqueurs are often flavoured with fruits or herbs (like Sloe Gin!), making them a popular choice for cocktails and other mixed drinks, or if you fancy something sweeter than the traditional botanicals of gin.
