Hot rum toddy recipe
On these cold Winter evenings, particularly when it’s blowing a gale and raining sideways, it’s nice to settle down in a toasty house with a hot toddy! Here’s our favourite hot rum toddy recipe:
Ingredients
– 50ml dark rum (our delicious double dark rum is perfect!)
– 1 teaspoon honey
– Juice from half a lemon
– 100ml hot water
– A cinnamon stick (optional)
Instructions
- In a heatproof mug, combine the rum and honey. Stir to combine
- Squeeze in the juice from the lemon half and add it to the mug
- Pour in the hot water and stir until all ingredients are combined
- If desired, garnish with a cinnamon stick for flavour and an additional touch of sweetness!
Bonus Tip: Add a splash of cider to enhance the flavour of this delicious and classic drink. Enjoy! Also, remember to enjoy responsibly this festive season (and beyond!).
