Hot rum toddy recipe

On these cold Winter evenings, particularly when it’s blowing a gale and raining sideways, it’s nice to settle down in a toasty house with a hot toddy! Here’s our favourite hot rum toddy recipe:

Ingredients

– 50ml dark rum (our delicious double dark rum is perfect!)

– 1 teaspoon honey

– Juice from half a lemon

– 100ml hot water

– A cinnamon stick (optional)

 Instructions

  1. In a heatproof mug, combine the rum and honey. Stir to combine
  2. Squeeze in the juice from the lemon half and add it to the mug
  3. Pour in the hot water and stir until all ingredients are combined
  4. If desired, garnish with a cinnamon stick for flavour and an additional touch of sweetness!

Bonus Tip: Add a splash of cider to enhance the flavour of this delicious and classic drink. Enjoy! Also, remember to enjoy responsibly this festive season (and beyond!).
