How many units are in a glass of gin?
There are 1.4 units of alcohol in a standard glass of gin (70cl, ABV 40%). However, the number of units will differ depending on the strength and size of your gin – so make sure you check the label! In addition, if you’re opting for gin in a cocktail with other spirits, don’t forget to factor in the units associated with that to determine your unit intake.
Remember, the recommended alcohol unit intake is no more than 14 units per week for both men and women, so enjoy your gin responsibly (and make sure it’s a high quality, flavourful gin to make sure it’s extra enjoyable!).
