While there are many types of rum, dark rum is typically made from molasses. This gives the rum its characteristic dark colour and rich flavour. We back add our organic Blackstrap molasses twice in our double dark rum, making it even more decadent and delicious!

All our Rums are made entirely in Sussex (in the United Kingdom) using traditional methods. We have spent years cultivating our Dunder pit to ensure that we always produce the most authentic rum. If you are unaware, a Dunder pit is where the magic happens for our rum, as this is where some of the fantastic flavours originate.

Dunder is a by-product of the sugar cane refining process and contains all sorts of natural sugars and flavour compounds. We love our Dunder pit so much that we named her! Her name is DARRA, which stands for Dunder Always Requires Regular Attention.
