Here at Murray and Yeatman, we get asked a lot of questions about the best way for customers to enjoy our delicious rums and gins, and we think that there’s no such thing as a silly question if you really want to enjoy your beverage (responsibly!). Unfortunately, there’s no simple, one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as the amount of rum in a classic Rum and Coke cocktail depends on your preference. Generally, the ratio is 1 part rum to 2 parts Coke, but you can adjust it to taste.
Here’s our recipe for success:
Ingredients
– 50ml of rum (either our Double Dark Rum, or our Coffee Rum)
– 100ml of Coke
Instructions
- Fill a highball glass with ice cubes
- Pour in the rum and then the Coke and stir gently
- Garnish with a lime wedge, if desired, and enjoy!
Of course, the ideal proportion of rum to coke is down to your personal preference, so be sure to adjust the amount of each to taste, so you can enjoy your new favourite beverage as much as possible!
